6mm Song of Drums and Shakos

I've played in numerous scales from 28mm to 10mm but wanted a travel version so Why not give 6mm a go

Look fab!  How big is the field of play going to be?  Presume swap to cms from inches for any measurements?

It's already scaled in cm and uses a measuring stick

I can either go with the 15mm scale option of 60cm x60cm table

Or halving the numbers should work just as well on my 30cm×30cm board, more on that once its done

That's handy.  Not familiar with the rules.  I suppose the bases on your 6 mm are not much different to a 15 mm figure size?

It's a great set of Skirmish rules, with some really nice game mechanics

The bases are 15mm mdf, it's the smallest I can comfortably handle without having to hold the figure

They look awesome! I've been toying with the idea of 6mm skirmish in my head, it's gotta be dirt cheap and doesn't need a big table, terrain is easy to make as well... and the figures are adorable! Great job painting them as well, any tips?

Which manufacturer are these from? Baccus?

The minis are Adler and the detail is so good they practically paint themselves, I use an eluminated magnifying glass and theses days a pair of reading glasses too.

I paint them the old school way of base layer. Wash, reaply base layer

I'd try some Baccus but they come in large packs and that would be a waste

Thanks, I've been giving the mini painting a bit of a rest and have worked on some terrain, Hills Rock outcrops to block line of sight, difficult/broken ground, baracades, that sort of stuff.

Also painted up some scatter terrain for objective markers

Looking at buildings and  stream/river options now

I want a rural look for both and awkwardly need a river thats closer to 14 inches in length as my prospect bord ended up 13.5"x13.5", more on that another day
