Years ago, I started building a Brettonian army from the old Citadel Perry bros. sculpts that eventually went over to Foundry.

Looking at these, I really have no excuse to leave it half finished...  :'(

I don't see why anyone would want to buy the EEs Empire Statetroopers, or Bretonian Pesants ever again.

Well given as those are different periods/subjects, there will always be people who'll buy them.

Now if they'd made a HYW set, those would have made proper Bretonnians.  :P

You are of course quite correct white knight, I guess I'd just be willing to put the extra bit of work into them to make them fit.

I think perhaps these perry miniatures would have to be used to make an Empire and a Brettonian army at the same time.

The archers remind me so much of the old single piece two pose Bret. Longbowmen that came with the 5th edition fantasy boxset, only far better.

While the halberd/bill men would make great Empire Halberdiers.

Of course if I was forced to buy them to use for Fantasy theres nothing stopping them being used as forces from the poorer Empire regions, some area of the Borderprinces with it's own style using Empire or Bret rules, or indeed a mercenary army.

Naturally I could just solve all my problems and start playing Historical wargames.

Awesome sculpts with very fair pricing. So, no rant at all, but I'm a bit disappointed by the ratio of bow- to billmen. Hopefully the Perry twins will release some blisters (or even better: another plastic box!) that are more useful for Continental warfare of the given period.

I believe the second plastic box will be mounted knights.
Or possibly knights on foot with poleaxes, glaives etc.
I overheard the Perrys talking about it at Salute when they announced this range, but I can't quite remember which box was going to come next  ::)
And of course they may have changed their plans since then...

Thanks for the "translation"  ;)

On an other note…
Hi, my name is Calimero and I suffer from lead and plastic addiction… lol

No worries.

Only lead and plastic ? You haven't started to get high on print fumes from Ospreys ?
Not to mention the Resin scenery.....

"Resistance is futile!"

"Resistance is feudal"

I am looking forward to getting my first box of these for our Talomir Tales fantasy campaign. Bring on the knights and levies too.

I don't begrudge you, Itchy  ;)
Enjoy!

Just makes one wonder about why they even bother with pre-orders in the first place  ::)
