 Tonight’s game in 28mm  set in ‘Dirty Old Town’ using IABSM rules :

Terrific game utilising the incredible 1st Corps Miniatures Internal Security range of figures.

Played with I Ain’t Been Shot Mum rules - without any rules modifications.

The Brits cleared the field and captured eight ‘Bad Lads’ into the bargain!!

Needs finishing / balconies etc . Few TV sets balanced on the edge too ready for dropping on the head of some poor squaddie !!

That’s amazing work! Veering dangerously close to being a diorama, except that it’s clearly playable in games.

That building has come up nicely. By the by I have just seen some rather nice looking 1/64 MDF buildings on Etsy. I'm a bit tempted. They seem to size up fairly well. It's usually only  ground floor doors that make sub scale things look odd and that's easy to fix.

There's also these, available direct or through many an ebay/Temu/Alibaba retailer. Be careful going with resellers as sometimes the scale listings are not that accurate.

And despite them being 1/87 I've thought about purchasing a couple of these as board edge background buildings. I reckon they'd look great tucked some way behind my miniature Berlin Wall.

Some lovely models there and I reckon 1/64 would be fine.

I’ve used some 1/87 German models in the same way as you describe to good effect .

Finished main painting aspect  using furniture paint chalk effect .

Glazing  and balconies finished.

Have yet to add details like washing lines and fridges and tv sets to be thrown over the side!
