OLD WEST PROGRESS THREAD
« on: October 29, 2023, 02:55:12 PM »
Hey Gang. So after a very long break I've returned to my Old West rule set (working title "Dark West") to work on it. I painted up a bunch of Old West models for Ebay and it got my creative juices flowing and then i joined a new club and I asked them what they'd like to playtest (I've got like seven projects on the go so i needed help focussing) and they said Old West.

Here are the new models and a snap of the turn order page (w.i.p) currently.

Sadly I'm selling the models as I have no money left but regardless I ordered some Perry miniatures Models I've always loved and hopefully my forward momentum will pay off and someone will buy them and I can get playtesting soon!

More progress. Sourced some awesome "rioter" models ("not" gangs of new york) from Perry brothers that i love the caracter of. AS usual with the perry stuff they have volumes more character and actual narrative and story than 90% of models on the market. It's fun to see old west models with such dynamism. Also dug out some MDF buildings i had and i'm painting them up. Started with the church. The paint scheme is a bit system generic but anyone who knows anything about the actual old west knows that it was hardly as stereotypical as people though and all sorts of buildings colours and whatnot existed so i'm happy with it so far.
Progress below.
Also been working on some home built buildings too.

If you need any outside play testers to give them a look I’d be more than happy to assist.  Shoot me a PM and I can provide more details.

Got some lovely pics in the new photo booth I made today. Not perfect but they do really pop!

Some truly wonderful figures there - Bill the Butcher is of course a standout.

Ooh great those figures are full of action they look great.

The church floor came out great too, I don't mind the weathered popping up  boards, makes it seem more hasty and ramshackle.

Took a little "draw house" (house with a second little house part that cameout) from the craft shop into this. Signage is temporary while Hank get's a better one printed.
