Of course the beauty of a "Successor" army is that most of it was be used for several armies . I have a large "generic" Successor army mainly of Aventine and Foundry.  The core of pike,  psiloi and cavalry can be used by early Successors all the way through to Demetrius' Seleucids. I then have units of Cataphracts, Scythed chariots, elephants, Galatians and "imitation legionaries" that allow my to "personalise" the army. A very versatile army to collect.

I agree with you, you can collect different miniatures to reflect what ever successor period that you want. Being a painter rather than a gamer I will enjoy the many options available.

Absolutely right. With a core of phalangites you can add from a vast choice of options. My first ever 25mm army was a Pyhrric mob and on more than one occasion the mercenary Galatians pulled my fat out of the fire when everyone else was ready to run! The Pyrrhic army is a good example of the plethora of choices, with all sorts of Greeks, Italians, elephants, Gallatians and Cretans available to round out a force.

The army of Pyrrhus is one of my favorites. Others have pointed out the diversity of troops available from Macedonians to Epirotes to Illyrians to Galatians or Italian Samnite Allies, or Italian Greeks. Every unit is useful in other Successor period armies.
