Another scenario taken from John Lambshead's excellent book, 'Sci-Fi Skirmish Scenarios'.
Page 50, Smash the Icon. I did tweak it a little. :D

For those without the book,

A group of foul heretics, ably played by Ian (Westbury) are attempting to perform
an un-holy rite at the long abandoned aforementioned temple.

The (True) Church's Hierarchy have sent three squads of 'Monks Militant' to stop this.
True believers were played by Bob (Flatpack), James (Vodkafan) & John (aka JC).

Drones had detected four clusters of life activity, three stationery & one moving.
One had to be the 'Gifted One' performing his rites. The rest merely acolyte distractions.

At the start Ian chose a suite. If & when the others took out a 'cell' they could call out
a suit. If they were correct then that was where the Gifted One was & he would be put
on the table with his Bodyguards.
If they were wrong, Ian would choose a suite from the remaining ones & the chase
would continue.
Each move Ian was to throw a D6. When the total exceeded 21 (or the Gifted One had
diced 10 times) the Foul Rites have been completed.

As the game was played under the excellent Galactic Heroes rules, some notes.
1) Monks Militant were Armoured (-1" off movement) & had Blaster Rifles, & rolled D10s
2) Acolytes had to stay at their starting sites, had Auto Pistols & rolled D8s
3) Bodyguards were Armoured & carried Galprien Force Lances (treated as Heavy Blasters)
but as they are powerful beings suffer no penalties on movement etc.
4) The Gifted One has no need of weapons, but was given two abilities.
Mesmerize (e.g. 'These are not the Droids you are looking for') and
    God-Like ( i.e. much harder to kill).

Photos
639 = First Monk Militant closes in on one of the cells of Acolytes.
640 & 642 = some of the exposed bits of the temple & flora that is taking over.
641 = The 'Moving' life signs, a bashed & battered skiff.
645 = One of the Acolyte groups.
646 = A Monk Militant passing some local flora.
647 = A squad Of Monks Militant pass a pool tree.
648 = 'All quiet here Command. Moving onto next target'

More pictures.

652 = The 'Gifted One' with his bodyguards. (3D prints which I requested at '32mm' to
          emphasize the tall Alien look)
650 = Monks Militant close in on another group of Heretics.
(D10s with a short range of 12" taking on D8s whose long range is 12", you
          can guess the result.
649 = The 'Gifted One' is discovered!
653 = Use of his ability to Mesmerize stupefies a Monk.
(He was 'snapped out of it' later by a comrade slapping him.  lol)
655, 656 & 657 = With time running out (real life meant the game had to be short)
The Gifted one ordered the Skiff to crash into the reactor. It did total two Monks
Militant, well some two hundred tons of anti-grav vehicle smashing into you will
          do that to you. :D.
Unfortunately the reactor failed to blow.  :-[
(Both sides threw the same number of dice, Ian just failed to beat the others.)
658 = Had a spare shot of one of the Trees

The game was short, but (hopefully) sweet.
I recommend both the Scenario book and the rules. Good fun. ;)

Does this mean the count down reached 21 or 10 turns were reached?  Interesting figures / terrain.

Sorry, I didn't make that clear.
We were very limited to time (real life getting in the way of toy soldiers).
The game had to be called long before a definite result was reached.
However, with most of the Acolytes dead, The Gifted One located, & apart from the two Monks Militant squashed by the crashing skiff, little
damage done to the 'Clergy', it looked like rite would not be completed...this time.

N.B. There was no trace of the Gifted One amongst the fallen.

Monks on the move.
You name it, we’ll shoot it !

Here we go.

Three bad guys down. Move on.

Overall view of the battle, ongoing.

Lead monks are ready and waiting.

Fun game. Played in the right spirit  lol
Due to real life issues, it was a “splash and dash”.
Cheers has.been for the effort he put into the game.

"A true prophet is never recognised in his own country" Or galaxy  ;)
No surprise then that the overwhelming forces of the orthodox church should seek to crush the (almost) defenceless true believers. Or, I didn't stand a chance  lol lol
Initial photos showing the forces of oppression disturbing peaceful contemplation  ;)
