Painting and sculpting log for Action Warriors.
« on: November 25, 2023, 12:35:01 PM »
Hi everyone.

Just starting a log of my attempts at getting some armies together. Beginning with Gi Joe and Cobra, but going on to include Transformers, MASK, Master of the Universe etc soon.

Please Enjoy.

Bodies for these guys are from Monstrous Encounters. Heads from Reptilian Minis.

Battle Axe. An original character created by a patreon for Action Warriors, miniature sculpted by Random Miniatures. 2D concept art is mine.

Yay; anything miniature to do with the old eighties cartoons has my approval! 8)

Good Cobra troopers, and your artwork is really good. And Bumblebee is looking great; a 3D-print I see.

Printing allows for a lot of stuff on the table that would have been very hard work before to recreate in miniature. I was lucky enough to get all of the G1 Transformers in metal some years ago from an Australian company which has since stopped producing them due to IP problems. Still have to paint them though ::)

Now if you do MASK stuff, I'm going to be all over it for sure :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Good to see you progressing with this project.

How suitable are the Transformable Robot Suit models for downsizing in print?  I am wondering if they would work OK at about 50 - 60mm to match my Mekton Roadstriker figures.

The Wheeljack shown above is about 53mm to his eyes, so a 28mm figure is around waist high to him. I've sculpted them with this scale in mind.

Looking great again!  8)

I'm still looking for alt-modes for my metal Transformers and those vehicle modes look just excellent. Will you make the STL's available in some form?

thanks! Yes for sure. I only just got confident enough to try really tackling the vehicle modes publicly. Have done the Seeker jet modes and this guy. Nearly finished doing the Ratchet/Iron Hide car mode.  This one is up on cults, but everything I do is on my patreon for a token amount. I wont advertise it in case it violates board rules but its not hard to find.
