Scaling up Never mind the billhooks ?
« on: December 03, 2023, 03:50:29 PM »
I know some of you have played big battles with NMTBH, Eric the shed's look fantastic.

How do you give your self more orders ? Just make each commander have 3 or 5 or whatever ? Or do you add commanders and extra cards into the deck ?

I'd like to play 300 point battles, and be interested in peoples ideas.

'Eric' adds commanders and extra cards into the deck - he has made a specialist deck of all the protagonists in WoTR for the various battles that have been fought at the Shed.

You can see the deck in this photo

A name card goes behind each commander to ensure we know who we are!

Cheers
Tony

Thank you Tony....

The Shed uses our own custom deck of commanders with some battles featuring up to 20 commanders aside - mind you these tend to be the very big multiplayer games.

Personally I would keep to the same ratio that the rules suggest 2-3 commanders per 100 points - any fewer the game will grind down to become unplayable any more will take away the jeopardy of do I move or should I order versus command ranges nd number of units under control.

Wish you all the best with your 'big' battles

Eric the Shed
