WIP Self Propelled Gun
« on: November 13, 2009, 09:14:16 AM »
This started life as a GI Joe Road Rebel I picked up at the market for £1. Hoping to get the beginnings of a paint job on it later today. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

This is how it looks normally. Mine was a lot dirtier and soaked with rain.

EDIT:

The beginnings of a paint job, as promised.

Which market do you go to that you can find interesting things like this ?
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

It's just the weekly market in my town. Half of it is typical market fare- stalls selling a million lighters for a quid, knock off clothes, a meat van, and cheap tools. The other half is a pretty hit-and-miss car boot sale which sometimes has good stuff going. I always check it out when I get the chance because I've got some great bargains there in the past, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RPG for 50p and a Sega Saturn for £1.

The local markets round here never have anything good..well except for 2 years ago, I just managed to miss out on blood bowl and space hulk for a fiver each, but I managed to pick up a complete battlemasters for a fiver...my dad sold it the same day for a tenner when I went to get hotdogs..I havent forgive him yet.

That thing would look good as the base for a terminator hunter killer tank, keep up the good work :)
