With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Another good story,  it is very hard to find first person accounts of the Korean War.

Echo the 'thanks for posting comments' . In UK never heard it described as anything but 'Korean War' .

This is the most recent of many of his accounts. Perhaps I should post an index to his stories.

Some of those stories might be nicely complied into a book some day.

Should be, they're priceless. It's our duty to help preserve these memories.

The idea has been mentioned to him, by my sister-in-law. So far, he hasn't signed on. We'll see.

I have really enjoyed reading through those posts. Thank you for sharing them here :) It isn't often you get an insight into the day to day like that.

One of the most interesting .45 pistols I’ve seen was one with a beautiful mother of pearl inlay on the grip. Sits in the collection of the Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians), in the vault. I had the opportunity to photograph and inventory the vault. Some very interesting pieces in there.

I have a massive collection of Canadian Korea photos, articles, and many have never been published. Spent months scanning battle reports, correspondence, and photos.
