Horses compatible with Mark's Little Toy Soldiers Range
« on: December 08, 2023, 08:05:35 PM »
Has anyone found any cart horses, mules or standing cavalry horses that are compatible with Mark's toy soldier figures?

I was looking at the Sarissa Precision ranges last night and I thought the Wild West "Chuck Wagon" would make a good inter-war supply wagon. Ditto for the other goods wagon in the range.

But then I would need horses or mules to pull them, and Mark hasn't made either [yet].

Maybe it makes sense to order 3D printing in a suitable size?

3D printing might indeed be an option, however, I have taken the plunge and ordered some samples:

1) the boxed plastic horses by Wargames Atlantic;
2) I found cart horses, Shire horses, mules and donkeys on the Warbases site and am giving them a try.

28mm but maybe it won't matter too much.

Try Front Rank

They are one of the few manufacturers who sell horses seperately.

Ne careful with Tradtition/Willie horses because even if , in my opinion , they are the most  elegant /realistic horses ever made in any scale, they are very tall

Irregular Miniatures do some 42mm figures, which includes animals.
I was made aware of them by a fellow LAFer, & I've ordered some.
They haven't arrived yet, so no review...yet. ;)

That is far too tall to be compatible with Mark's Toy Soldiers.

The Wargames Atlantic plastic horses seem to work fine, though not stylized in the same manner.
