Unfortunately, due to various factors, I cannot hope to finish the plane in due time. This is to do with university commitments, but mainly due to a total loss of interest in the subject. I had hoped my visit to Ignatieff`s place last Saturday would rekindle it in time, but failed to do so. Basically, I won´t pretend anything else is to blame than my lack of motivation/inspiration (getting distracted by painting Volgans for a totally different project wasn´t the smartest thing to do either).

I do plan to finish the plane at some later time, maybe during the christmas holidays, and will continue the build report in the above format then.

If you're not enjoying it, please don't feel obliged to complete the build for our benefit.   :)

Shame. This is the one I was looking forward to most. But if you ain't feelin' it you have to leave it alone. Nothing worse than ploughing on with a project that you're not into. You'll start to resent and then hate it, and it will suck the joy out of the entire hobby for you.

Still, we seem to be losing men rather quickly all of a sudden...

See the knife handle here, protruding from my flesh? Why don't you go ahead and twist it? ;)

As said, it is merely postponed. If it goes anything like I know my mind to work, sometime next week something will inspire me so greatly that I´ll be able to pull it through in two evenings. But still too late for the deadline. >:D

That said, I´m always terrible at doing stuff when I´m supposed to document it in many steps. Same goes for painting tutorials (only managed it once with some KKBB henchmen), and anything that involves more than a picture at the finished build stage and a handful painted. I think it´s my problem that I usually have a "point of no return" where the model in question looks terrible to my eyes and discourages me from doing any more work on it. If I get over that watershed, it`s all downhill trodding from there.

Any chance of making the crushed Breguet XIV into a wreck for a downed aviator scenario?

No, it was pretty much gone beyond repair and I threw it away.
