Very nice looking models.

A nitpick, but it is unlikely that the Romans looked so uniform in clothing, colors, and gear choices at this period.  Everyone had to provide their own gear, and that probably was to a wide standard.  Part of the appeal of Romans though is their "orderly" look compared to their opponents.  It is a nice visual short-hand and has become a very popular theme and way to portray them at this period.

Ultimately, who really cares!  All that matters is if you are happy with it!  I think they look great as a unit!

That's why I have both red AND white tunics.  lol

It comes down to painting speed.  Its so much easier/faster to work with a limited pallet.

Nice job on the Agema Romans.   They're more diverse, interesting and dynamic than their  plastic kit competitors  IMHO.
Sort of.  The sprue has 5 bodies, but (for me) that divides into 1 Triarii, 2 Principes, and 2 Hastati.  I would have preferred a few more helmet choices. The throwing arms give a lot of angles, but can also take up a lot of space on the base.  The sword arms do a good job of poking or reaching the blade around the shield.  The left arm choices give good variety for shield position, although one option is close to the body - which leads to the shield be very close to the chest.

I hear you there!  Like I said, great work on these.  They will look awesome on the tabletop.

I use red and white to differentiate Hastati and Principes as it’s easy to lose track during line replacement mid battle.
