The only update now is that I've managed to paint all the plastered parts of the farm using some leftover house-paint (natural calico), with many portions being painted unevenly, to represent badly painted, semi-rural paintwork. Tomorrow I hope to paint the stonework.
I'm not posting pics tonight, but will do that tomorrow after I do the stonework.

All thumbs upfor that project, I hope you´ll get it done in time Olaf!
I am almost through, the bunkers were finished ten minutes ago, now to build a ramp and repaint the entrance...

Finally got the walls, stonework and beams painted, although the beams need a wee bit more weathering, as my original coat doesn't show properly.

Whew! After a couple of rough days at work, finished by a really bad trip home on Thursday (some muppet jumped under a train and prevented me getting home), as well as some time spent keeping SWMBO happy, I finally got a day's worth of tiling in- the house is completely done, and about 1/3 of the stable. Tomorrow I'll finish off the stable and the forge...and maybe do the doors. Tuesday I plan to do the groundwork, Wednesday some painting, Thursday paint the roofs, Friday some flocking and garden-making and (hopefully) Saturday finishing touches and varnish, so I can photograph the whole thing on Sunday...just in time for the deadline Sunday night!

Good luck to that timetable, you'd really deserve it to finish this marvelous terrain piece in time!
Great work!

Hmmmmm. Well, I'm a touch behind...
That said, I should still be able to finish everything off this evening and tomorrow, to enable me to slip in just ahead of the deadline...
Flocking and "gardening", and the finishing touches are all that remain!

OK, last update before finishing 'er up...
The roofs are now all done (pigsty with planks, chicken coop with thatch), and the grounds are painted brown.

The finishing touches will be added during the course of the day, and the final pictures taken tonight, edited and sent in to squeak in just before the deadline!

Whoa! Having seen all the entries, I wonder how my poor effort's going to fare...

That said, I'm happy with it, especially the fact that I actually finished it!

Thank you all- I've added a few more pictures to my site (http://mainly28s.com/how_to/model_build_coaching_inn.html, and will add a few more later this week, once I've had a chance to "cool down" and put together a nice tableau with some additional figures. The current pictures comply with the competition guidelines, so there aren't many figures to give an idea of scale.

Just are-cap for those interested in these things-
Dimensions for the main house section:
25,5cm by 30cm wide, 14cm high.
Dimensions for the stable/forge section:
26cm by 30cm wide, 9,5cm high.

The total cost was less than £10, as I used mostly left-overs and scraps for the construction, and it was built in 3 weeks.
