Creating a Monster Hunter Warband for CIC
« on: November 15, 2009, 02:43:48 PM »
Hi all,

Now that I've read the Chaos in Carpathia rules, I have a couple of general questions about warband design.

1. Can henchmen purchase other weapons, or are they limited to what they start with?  If they can, do the pay the same price as heroes?

2. What types of models do you use to represent the authorities if you are actually playing in the Carpathian setting?  Are any of the Westwind line appropriate?

3. Do people use the henchmen as a rule?  Would a warband without henchmen be at any great disadvantage against one who used them?

Thanks,
J

You buy each wepon for henchmen group once. As a sample swords for a complete henchmen group cost 8GBP.

2. What types of models do you use to represent the authorities if you are actually playing in the Carpathian setting?  Are any of the Westwind line appropriate?

What you want, just the local peasants who support the Burgermeister or the local police if you play nearby a bigger town. Westwind has the "Polizi" figures which are nice or the Transylvanien Mob packs have lots of useful models.

3. Do people use the henchmen as a rule?  Would a warband without henchmen be at any great disadvantage against one who used them?

Playing without them isn't any disadvantage though they are a nice touch so mayn people use them. They pretty good fighters when the group is big and become pretty useless once the casualties add up.

Thanks again for the advice.  I've ordered models for two warbands - werewolves and monster hunters.  However, I'm thinking that I'd like to have a canine companion for my leader.  Does anyone have any idea how large this model by Reaper Minis is?
