Even McDonald's toys can be turned to Evil
« on: November 17, 2009, 06:29:30 PM »
I was feeling whimsical the other day, and, since I am working on a Dark Elf army for Warhammer, I did this. I am not sure if it will be a chariot, or maybe a Manticore, but it was fun to do. Sorry for some of the fuzziness!

Hahah, mega blocks fire breath.

Hehe - it was too obvious when I saw the pieces in my bits section.

Fire blocks mega breath?

If that's a real question, the real answer is torch flame pieces from the Mega Bloks Pirates of the Carribean line ship "Flying Dutchman," which Sinewgrab assembled and beautifully modified for me.

Was wondering what he would end up using those bits for.  Unlike an ordinary person who might have put the flames on the top of a torch stuck in the wall of some dungeon, or in the hands of some dungeon explorer, Sinewgrab comes up with something really eye catching...  You'd be amazed at some of the remarkable things he's made out of bits o' this and bits o' that.

Awesome work. I love that toy, I have one myself in my pile of things to paint but I'd never thought of using him as a mount. The rider's not too shabby either, nice green tones.

Warrenbruhn, I still think you give me more credit than its worth, but thank you nonetheless.

Tacgnol, that is the base armor color I am using for my Dark Elf army that is currently being painted. I like it a lot, and I had to go to a tube of acrylic paint to find it. Never seen a transparent green in that tone in a bottle. Takes four layers of color to get that dark. Still not happy with the little dragon, though.
