That looks like an interesting battle with all those crossing points I will look up that battle. Good luck hope your show game goes well.
It's actually even more interesting than this shows (due to scale/compression)The French started crossing in the morning under cover of mist. They formed two bridgheads protected by artillery on the southern bank and expanded out before the Austrians could respond effectively. The Austrians then formed a defensive line along a secondary stream/canal. As the day wore on more melt water hit the river causing it to rise until it became impassable. So no more reinforcements and worryingly nowhere to retreat for the French that have already crossed. So the battle is a race for the French to get enough forces over the river to drive off the numerically inferior Austrians. For the Austrians can they defeat the bridgehead using their locally superior numbers early or at least delay the French long enough that they can't cross with sufficient force to drive them off. By the end of the day the French are potentially close to disaster since they are fighting with an uncrossable river to their backs.
Hello and thanks,I hope we make interesting possibilities in the scenario for both sides, and yes we make some surprise with the river to not crossing for the It/Fr.Regards Dirk
