I recently purchased these rules also.  So far I find them enjoyable and easy to understand/use.  I've been using a 4'x4' table but realized the first 12" all I was doing was maneuvering without any combat taking place so I've closed it up to a 3'x3' area while using the remaining 12" as a place to put the rules, cards, etc.

I normally don't enjoy playing games requiring cards, but this is so good and the absence of dice is kind of a relief, there's more random possibilities (like the author said) using cards.

My only issue right now is I keep turning over one of the Jokers just when I'm about to pounce!!!  What a downer!  >:(  :D

I did take it upon myself to copy down the core rules so I wouldn't have to wear the book out while leafing thru it trying to learn the game.

I think it was on the strength of this thread that I picked up these rules a couple of months ago - a great hit with my kid as they're so straightforward. It doesn't really matter if you can't remember all the rules either - "my model is bigger I should hit harder" "fair enough have an extra card"  lol

I posted in a couple of other threads here in this sub-forum, so if you want to see more photos and blabbering you can go there:
