Played our first game last night and really enjoyed it.  Some pics and an AAR on the Stalker 7 FB page.

That was a fun game, with a promising rule set. Most importantly it finally allowed me to get my Jay and Silent Bob minis on the table :)  Looking forward to many more sessions!

We played the final game in my 1920s campaign, bringing our case to a conclusion. https://grahamsgaming.blogspot.com/2024/05/when-nightmares-come-egypt-1920s-case.html

Looks like you had a fun game.  I'd like to hear how you decided on what Dark Spawn to use.  I presume you were using D8/D10 and just varying what would emerge from the portals?  I think you were right to continue the game once the atrocity appeared.

In our game we successfully closed the Nexus on Turn 4.  We decided, at that point, that the portals would disappear but any Dark Spawn on the board would remain.  We hunted them down in Turns 5 & 6 before the cops arrived.

I agree that writing our own scenarios would work especially if you want to keep your 1920's theme, though the Cases and One shots from Wargames Vault make good reading and add a few pre-gen charactoers and NPCs to the mix.

I used the Dark Spawn arrival as written in the rules for game 1 and 2, but that seemed a bit too easy for the hunters. I varied things a bit for the last games.

Game 3
Turn 1 4 x d6 Dark spawn, Turn 2 2 x d8, Turn 3 2 x d8, Turn 4 2 x d8, Turn 5 2 x d8, Turn 6 2 x d10

Game 4
Turn 1 4 x d6 Dark spawn, Turn 2 2 x d8, Turn 3 2 x d8, Turn 4 4 x d8, Turn 5 2 x d10, Turn 6 4 x d10
