Mathias Rapp (the sculptor) has been leaking pictures again, the Kamarg figures look incredibly good for 18mm and I think will work very well beyond the Hawkmoon world. I immediately thought Oldworld mercenaries or Border Princes when I saw them.

15mm Fantasy Gaming, facebook, but if you google 18mm Hawkmoon you'll see his instagram pictures pop up.

The time of the Orc has come.

My God it took a long time but I finally finished my first batch to go with my test figure, I approve. Now I need to simplify and speed up the painting process because it had way too many steps and fiddling around and took way too long.

Next I'll have a bit of a struggle to get the pack content poses to rank up on a base in a reasonable way so I don't have too much wasteage and also be able to have each unit make base to base contact with other units as painlessly as possible.

These guys were originally armed with spears, unfortunately some of the poses are difficult to remove the entire spear so for those I removed the spear at the hand and inserted the pike there. It's more obvious in some than others.

Reallly great work there Peleset!

I've been quite inspired by this Pig-Pike idea... so we will be doing some open hand pike poses!

Loads of new models, and some updated old ones are coming out very very soon.

My Eureka order this week came with a free sample (best company ever!), Kamarg cavalry! Very happy with this one.

Well shit, I can see why!

As I mentioned earlier, he's intended for the Kamarg but I get Oldworld Border Princes vibes when I see these figures.

Border princes is a good vibe!

I reckon you'd be able to do Offbrand LOTR (arnor, gondor etc.) and Game of Thrones pretty easily if you just skip the flame lance guys!

I reckon you could be right, at least for GW's take on the subject.

Part of this hobby, at least for me over decades, has been scouring miniature ranges and trying to adapt historical figures for my current fantasy interests. Thankfully this has gotten blessedly easier (though I never imagined there would ever be a Hawkmoon range) as the years go by.

So I am always on the lookout for the what could be's, hence how I've already pressed one of your Shieldaidens into the service of the Riddermark.

Makes a pretty good Eowyn on foot.
