Just a quick statue for some fantasy scatter scenery.
« on: January 29, 2024, 11:11:30 AM »
Yonks ago I did another one of these.  That one was off my 3d printer.  Unfortunately My printer has a random leveling issue so I had to sculpt this.  As you can see I do not sculpt well but this works for what it is.  Hope you like.

It looks naive in build at worst - and thus perfect. Not every sculptor is Donatello, Michelangelo, Bernini - it looks hewn rather than sculpted (maybe with a gnawed bone) I can easily see a ring of cultists around this thing. Added to that is the brilliance of the little fetish dolls - creepy.

I really like that, it's reminiscent of more ancient statues like those of the America's and Easter Island.

As was said; the roughness actually adds to the overall cultist feel of the thing.

And the little dolls make it extra creepy!

Awesome work! 8)

Good and creepy! Fulfills the brief for 'creepy cult thing in the woods' and as has already been said, the roughness helps with that.
