It’s fair to say that your Cold War terrain is ideal for a Dalek game

Love those Shado vehicles as well :)

Been busy buying battered up diecasts and repainting and adding new decals.

Making jump off points for my chosen rules too .

Some are true to the original Dinky colours - the blue grey MSV is inclined towards the TV series.

Beautifully done! Looks like they've literally jumped off the screen of an Andersons' program.

Never had the Capt Scarlett SPV as a child. Of course anything so named really should come with a bloke in a sheepskin jacket and trilby hat flogging moody watches for a tenner apiece.

I did have the SHADO interceptor from UFO that fired a missile from its nose by way of a spring mechanism. It did so somewhat disappointingly, rarely managing a few inches before gravity prompted its trajectory earthward.

I had the SPV, SPC and the MSV (and the strange green version of the SHADO Interceptor).
I still have the SPV somewhere.

Really nice painting on those Captain Scarlet vehicles  :-*

So do you have some of these figures from Crooked Dice on the painting desk to go with them?

That is an outstanding urban set-up!  Also I really like the red futuristic sports car, it looks like something a superhero would drive.  Plus the pic with the Catzilla in it is classic - I have one that does the same thing.

Those excellent buildings and your choice of scifi will go together like superglue and fingertips!

I'm a massive UFO fan myself and I'm always envious of those who actually make their UFO projects work; mine has stalled years ago for no apparent reason (probably other shinies ::) ).

But I recently splurged on a 20cm diameter UFO on Ebay to go with the rest and I'm actually feeling the jazz again, so who knows?

I'll be watching this thread closely for inspiration! :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Great comments - thanks everyone.

Yes, I’m in the swing of it now so got UFO and Captain Scarlet on the painting desk. Got the figures from Crooked Dice but also TARV miniatures.

I think I’m going to be using my own universal skirmish rules with additional rules for this aspect.

Standby !

If it were me (and believe me I'm Ltd.other - I to grew up on this stuff and had the SPV and interceptor) I'd use Pulp Alley rather than a straight skirmish set. Crooked Dice produce 7TV which is in a similar vein, of course. I'd want to replicate having to overcome hazards and tasks (plot points). If course, it's all about what you want to get out of your own games. I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to play a skirmish game like this with these toys!

And lovely painting/repainting!

Thanks mate .

I’ll report back on how I get on . I’ve bought stacks of the original Captain Scarlet collectors  cards  to use to randomly activate figures and three types of cards to allow each side to perform as per their own traits … e.g. the ‘ Mysteronise ‘ card can be played to take over a figure and then act on orders of Mysteron command.

Early days so far but I’m working on it .

I grew up on Doctor Who and Gerry Anderson, so you are ticking all the boxes here.
Im keeping an eye on this thread !

I was intrigued by the reference to TARV Miniatues-Id never heard of them.  They seem to have been around a while but its a very small product range.
UNIT vehicle decals look interesting.

I had not heard of them, even though Crooked Dice sell the Aliens.
