So what is the base model?

Struggling to remember but I reckon it was an MDF kit but how much of it is original I forget.

Oh that's very nice. And a rather interesting colour scheme on the iDaleks there - I hadn't noticed on the previous photos as they do blend in well with some of the others. Might have to borrow that idea rather than using the film-Dalek scheme for them.

Hmm more bits 'n' bobs I've never noticed before. A cabman's shelter!! :-* :-*  :-* That's an iconic bit of old London if ever there was. Only a couple of dozen still in existence but still going strong to this day.

Are the Daleks on their way to grab a steaming mug of Rosy and a bacon sammich? Are they looking for a cab? Have they ditched their scooters and struck out on foot in their epic attempt to learn 'The Knowledge'? *

Will they be greeted by one of the capital's ever convivial cabbies who will treat them to a twenty minute lecture on 'wots wrong wiv this country' while they are still on the meter or will a care worn woman of around 50, called either Irene or Flo, greet them at the counter and tell them to 'fack orf' ?  :D

I don't really want one, I most certainly don't need one but really curious as to who makes one in this scale.

* I  the suspect the latter and it neatly explains their black livery.

You've got good eyes! I've been going back and forth trying to see what you saw, not an easy thing to spot right in the background like that! OO scale models are available as Taxi drivers shelters (I think).
I suspect that, if confronted with HESH's board layout, I'd just be oohing and aahing over the detail for ages. Very, very nice.

Ah the 28mm  scale resin cast by Yeoman  Models. He did some nice stuff . I think he’s taking some time out nowadays .

Thanks for all your positive comments guys.

Rick , that’s exactly what mr old mate Cookie died when he comes over most Fridays for a game. Takes him a while to spot some new piece then he goes all frothy , which is nice as we all like to be applauded.

Latest thing is tv aerials ….only small but nevertheless an important detail?

Cool! It's a really nice piece and true to the originals (of which there are but a dozen or so left now).

Since you are the urban terrain boffin on LAF, I'll ask this question here.

I'm looking to add the various street lamps and traffic lights that I have purchsed or scrathch built to my footpaths. The base boards for the buildings and some of the open areas are roughly 1 foot square MDF pieces with a few having equal depth footpath extensions. These are faced with card paving.

I would prefer to keep the mdf boards and separate footpaths as clean as possible for storage purposes and flexibility of use but I don't really want to base the poles if possible as it it's fairly obtrusive using things like washers and too easy to knock over using plastic card. As some of the street lights are quite tall, they would need substantial bases.

I did think for flexibility of glueing some small magnets to the bases and painting them grey and then attching the poles to small metal nuts. Because the MDF is fairly thin, they'd still stand proud but probably not so much as to create storage/ breakage issues. Then I need to work out how I'll base trees into concrete planters as many of the streets will be tree lined as they are in actuality.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

that DARDIS is massive! glad I saw that, it's been bookmarked by myself for a while, will have to remember to see if it can be reduced.

Yes this one is too big but recently I’ve seen smaller and more accurate. If I can find a link I’ll post it up. 👍

With the street lamps I’ve used magnets on the base and in various places I’ve added a steel paving slab , glued and painted onto my pavement sections and completely blended in . Same with other street furniture.

Cheers! That might be the right approach.
