"A War Transformed: WWI on the Doggerland Front" comment

I received my copy of "A War Transformed: WWI on the Doggerland Front" today. I enjoyed flipping through the pages. I am not a rules fanatic/buff/geek/expert, so I cannot comment on the playability of the game, but I really like the setting and the fluff.
The only thing I missed in the book were pictures of nicely converted and painted miniatures. I understand that rule "makers" are not necessarily into minis. But I think it would have been a nice addition. That said, the lack of pictures is not a deal breaker. They would just have been the icing on the already delicious cake.

However, as a native German, I had a good laugh when I read the German Empire section, especially the entry on the witch hunters. It literally says Haxenjäger. It does so repeatedly, so it is not a one-off typo. The problem is that in German it is Hexenjäger ... a "Haxe", which we also have in German, is a "pig's knuckle". So litterally the book has "pig knuckle hunters" as a line unit for the German Empire.
It may not be funny to everyone, but it certainly made my day ...

I have been on the fence about this on. One the one hand, it sounds pretty interesting and wouldn't take a huge outlay of eih time or money as I already have a reasonable force of WWI types and would only need some specialist characters.  On the other hand, do I really need a new system/period.

Learning that my Germans could be hunting for pig knuckles pushes me a little closer to the 'give it a go' camp.

Yeah, I have heard some interesting discussion on the pros and cons have having miniature photos in your rules. 

On the one-hand, it is really useful to help your players understand the nature of the game and see the "art-of-the-possible"  On the other hand, the post-production requirements for getting such images to a standard that will be a bonus and not a detraction can be a big hurdle for designers in time, money, and effort. 

I typically lean into trying to have some miniature photos and do some play testing with actual painted minis and boards designed for the game.  However, this can add 1-3 years to the timeline and often adds between $100-$1,000 in costs (Depending on the project) I have to earn back on the project.  Some projects are just not going to be able to earn that money back.

Childish, I know, but I had to chuckle as I've heard the term "pigknuckle" used as a euphemism for penis.

How would one say "ironclad witch hunters"?  "Eisentragenhexenjäger" vielleicht?  Long German words fascinate me.

I have to admit I had autocorrected that to hexenjager. Oops (but nothing compared to some of the horrors in certain rule books - without the excuse of being in a foreign language).
