Well Tuomas Pirinen is one of a few ex-GW game designers that I rate, many are just name-dropping the GW connection and releasing poor games. With Tuomas you'll be getting a very good game but why, oh why, keep flogging the 'grimdark' thing - I'm kinda jaded on that schtick now and I absolutely loved Mordheim. I may pass on this one, at least for now.

Honestly it seems to have been market demand more than anything.  Mike Franchina has been doing TC as his personal art project for over a decade now, and getting "we want a wargamme!" comments on it for just as long. Not always a guarantee that it will actually sell, but in this case... 3.3milion says it does.

That said I'm super happy to see it doing so well. Mike is paying his sculptors decently for one thing! (he better be, I recommended some of them to him myself!) and all of the crew working on it are great people in general.

That said I do kinda agree, "grimdark" seems to just be what is in fashion for the past 3 decades now.

3d designer, sculptor and printer, at your service!

Atheist, moi?
I prefer to think of myself more as a philosophical neo-theological pagan but there we go.

I'll get me coat.

The premise strongly reminds me of Cell Entertainment's 1999.

If the game is any good, it might well be a reason to haul out the 1999 factions for an outing...

Good idea on using the 1999 miniatures.I had been thinking about it too.
Just fun to be-able to kitbash stuff together for the TC game setting.
Picked up two more sets of figures Today to try some other idea's out.

Getting 3.3 million was a great result.Just wait to see how many people add more money when the pledge manager open's up.Also late backers might get another million.I know that i intend to add to my small pledge of book and one warband.
