Early Saxons/Germanics

[Axebreaker]

Inspired by James Morris movement bases I re-based my entire Early Saxon/Germanics from sabot bases to the more flexible movement bases. They are of course going to be used for his upcoming Midgard rules and other systems like Impetus and TTS.

Never really cared for the look of sabot bases once one figure was out - though the idea was a step forward.  Beware you will need to replace the blue-tac over time as it hardens up but that is a small price to pay to improve ease of moving figures on the table.  Maybe you can find some gray colored tac (?) and then it will look even more like rocks when figures removed - or did you already, couldn't quite tell in the photos on your blo?.

It's actually not blue tack, but rather a Uhu product that acts in a similar way and is off white in color. I've been using the stuff for years holding figures to my bottle caps when painting and hasn't dried up yet although if it does it's very cheap so won't be an issue replacing it for the mounted figures.
