I like the look of this, but I have question regarding the filler. How much does the cardboard warp after the filler coat is applied?

Depends on the amount of water added I suppose.

But considering the subject matter, a bit of warpage might actually be fitting ;)

Thanks.

So, I have made two buildings in this style so far.  I used no water, just filler and white glue mixed together and I don't believe there was any warping.  There was some slight cracking at the corners but they are barely noticeable and would just add character anyway.  ;D (as pointed out by Daethar)

Aaand, we are now at 'lockup' stage.  Next up, add some external bits, oh and I better make a sign, then tiling and the build will be finished.

OT question:- how is everyone finding the image sizes?  I am using a new service provider and they seem huge to me.  Any problems loading these pages?

Looking good; getting there!

I'm having no issue loading the pictures myself, but I'm usually on high end connections anyway, so any delays in loading are usually on the other end. (I'm spoiled) I can't speak for everyone obviously, but to me at least, it's fine.

I like big pictures anyway  :D

It's odd how adding a chimney kinda brings a building to life. Lovely work and I particularly like your picnic table & benches.

I must say I do find the combo of unpainted card and balsa very appealing.

Thanks Lost Egg!

Also, I hopes it's obvious but the outdoor furniture is sinking into the mud.

I plan to bog the walls and chimney up today (it's early here), we'll see how that goes.

Aaand a day later the rendering commences.

Captain Snerk does not appear to approve.
