28mm kings African Rifles
« on: February 28, 2024, 05:46:06 PM »
Hello All
Looking for 28mm kings African rifles available to buy in the UK
Any suggestions? I’ve looked but failed. I also don’t mind ‘making do’ if there aren’t any around
All help greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Battle honours do early and late and Brigade games do them too. Pretty sure there other sources as well.

I've got both the Battle Honours and Brigade Games KAR.  BG figures are big and beefy, and BH are slight and skinny, so you may wish to bear that in mind when choosing which will fit with other figures in your collection.  An advantage for getting Brigade Games is that they have a pretty extensive selection of figures for the Great War in Africa, including German and Belgian askaris plus other European and colonial figures.

Does anyone in the UK stock Brigade games?
I’ve ordered stuff in the past but the last order cost £45 in handling charges.
It’s put me off ordering from the states.

Dunno if I'd call them 28mm, given that most of their other stuff is more like 32mm but Underfire produce and sell KAR in the UK.

Might have some of the Brigade KAR floating around that I'd be prepared to part with if all else fails.

Hello Carlos.
Thanks for that, I’ll check out the underfire miniatures. Never heard of them and Google failed to find them

Pleasure. Many East African lads, especially in the areas the KAR recruited are on the tall side so, even if they are a bit bigger you could get away with it.  That said, I could go and compare one of their moderns with a Brigade chap but I suspect they won't be a massive difference.

The Brigade Games figures almost paint themselves. Nic Collier sculpts IIRC.

https://tin-soldier.com/kar28.html is another source.

Not sure about Tiger Miniatures. I cannot check their website as my website blocker considers it a site that promotes gore and violence  lol

Just knew they were another front for ISIS. Tigris Miniatures was too much of a giveaway so I s'pose they settled on Tiger as the next best option. :D
