A piece of terrain I just completed to use for photography.
I find these small squares useful, rather than hauling big 60 by 60 cm terrain pieces onto m limited hobby table.
The base is made with acrylic spackling paste, colored with acrylic art paint, textured with various grit sized sand, smeard on top of a piece of burnt umber felt. The acrylig spackle, as well as the paint is flexible, which means it can be rolled away without cracking. Dry brushing and a few tufts completes this piece of arid land.
Pices of slate, glued in stacks and painted to match the matt adds a little variety when placed on the matt.
The whole things rolls away nicely into ac card board tube.
