This year’s To The Strongest World Championships was held at Blewberry in Oxfordshire. It was a superbly organised event that all who took part agreed was good fun.

My first opponent was Colin and his Sengoku Samurai: a nasty combination of Samurai types, both mounted and dismounted, with their longbows and naginata two-handed cutting weapons, and Ashigaru Teppo mixture of spearmen, bowmen and musketeers. This was not going to be easy!

You've just resurrected a long-dormant nightmare from 45 years ago. I recall using my 16th century Poles against said Japanese army using the old George Gush WRG Renaissance Rules.  Many of the Japanese were double armed with missiles and two handed cutting weapon, which was probably "pushing the edge of the envelope" as regards how the points system was meant to work. My Poles never stood a chance against the Samurai super-troops!

Here's the link to Game Two at this year's World Champioships in Blewberry.

Having had great success against the Samurai, the Venetians were about to find Peter's Tang Chinese an entriely different proposition!

And game 3, where my Venetians face Boudicaa and chums. Do they not know that Venetians aren't the same as Romans?!

And finally, Game 4, where I face another set of Tang Chinese. Time to get my revenge?

Very cool, enjoyed the battle reports and beautifully painted armies all.

Is there any place where we can find out the complete tournament results of that one?

I checked Big Red Bat's blog but could find nothing  :(
