Love that carpetting!

Thanks CapnJim.  I really enjoy putting some extra bits on the kits to make them look better.  I've been toying with the idea to maybe get hold of some interiors as well, like bar, shelves, maybe some lightning fixtures... a chandelier at the hotel would be wicked  :o.

That interior is awesome, that really makes it shine. And it being a TT Combat set, it probably needs such extras to prevent it from looking basic (they're not the best mdf sets eh), but yours look brilliant man!

Cheers Malebolgia!

In the past, I was happy to just put the MDF kit together and calling it done. Now, as I've gotten better and have read more tips and tricks,  I'm happy to kick it up a notch.  Still, I very much adhere to the "do it to the level of detail YOU are happy with!" I think it's nice to see, that with a little bit of extra work even a cheap basic kit can look awesome on the table 😀.

Take a look at some of the WizKids pre-painted terrain sets.  They have a couple tavern sets that might do the trick.

Like all of your work.

One totally unnecessary and pointless comment - I've never been fond of the poor souls who have one foot permanently attached to a rock, a log, a crate or whatever.  Looks out of place in most places and they are most often not in a place where it makes sense.  Though I'll grant an exception for Captain Morgan.   ;)

Two fellas in the bounty hunters faction done. (L-R)

Eamon "Dapper Ed" O'Shaughnessey- Irish and well groomed. Bit of a gambler.

Roscoe "Ramshead" Dean- laid off cowpoke with a mean right hook.

I've finally started on the 3D printed Heroic 28mm/ 32mm stagecoach from 3D Breed.  Put it off long enough because I find the kit lovely and worried to mess it up.

Nice crisp detail, I shall rework some panelling and paint them yellow, giving the stagecoach a green and yellow theme. I have some metal detailing on the horses harnesses to add and I have printed out two pictures that will put into the round slots on the doors.

According to my brief research, most stagecoaches were either red or green and many had pictures on the doors to make them more appealing. I'll go with that.

The driver is Jamboree Johnson, he chews tobacco and no one is sure that he's actually talking English, gibberish would be more accurate. But somehow, he gets the job done and he's the vest teamster in the county.

Looking good, better than the old pencil sharpeners we used to use and convert 10 years ago!  8)

With house move, work and health problems, I had a member at my local gaming club painting up my remaining 26 miniatures. The gentleman did a fantastic job   :-*! I especially like the detailing on the Mexicans clothing and the Sioux braves shields. I have ordered some more clear acrylic bases for the remaining 14 miniatures awaiting basing.

Sorry to read of your health issues, hope it turns around for you.

Not sure if Roscoe is meant to be an African American cowboy but I'm hoping so - they apparently made up about 20% of all the cowpokes.  Good on you if intentional.

Thank you kindly for asking FifteensAway,  I have chronic pain problems so they are getting worse but I try to keep them at bay keeping active.

Your assessment is spot on, indeed, Roscoe is meant to be African-American because of the exact reason you mentioned.

My wild west setting, although littered with funny takes and plenty of tongue in cheek, is having a lot of diversity. I have an all Mexican gang, an all female gang, Sioux braves under the leadership of Delhi man... plenty of people with German/ Spanish/ Scandinavian names along with one or two Scots and Irish men...

FINISHED MODELS!

The 36 models I rebooted my old west collection with are now painted and based. Most of them a retired chap at my local gaming club kindly painted up for me, as work and health eats into my hobby time   :-[.

I'm working on the stagecoach and hope to have that finished in the week to come.

I have two more MDF kits from TT Combat to paint and build, but as I'm moving house in about 10 days,  I have a lot of other things on my plate at the moment.

Tentatively,  there might be the first part of three in my planned MEATBALL western sometime August/ September as an AAR with the new figures and terrain.

Painted up the stagecoach driver today, Jamboree "Bo" Johnson. He doesn't speak English, mainly gibberish but seems to understand just fine. Best teamster in the state!

Stagecoach finally done  :o!

Reins I constructed out of individual threads from a spool of twine dipped in Agrax Earthshade wash. The pictures on the doors I printed on bog standard paper and cut to size.

I might add some luggage and passengers in the future.
