I had been eyeing Gangs of Rome since the first edition. When the Kickstarter for the 2nd edition was announced I was all in.
And when I found out that the new miniatures were sculpted my one of my favorite sculptors Paul Hicks, nothing could hold me back.
Last Friday evening at the local miniatures shop we started our gangs by rolling the names, backgrounds and skills for the first gang members. The tables were brilliant! It was so much fun to build the gang. So here is mine:
Originally I was thinking about printing cobblestone bases for the miniatures. While preparing these I had some problems removing the puddle bases. It took way too much time to completely remove the base, so I decided to remove most of the base and do the bases old school style by making the cobblestonen from green stuff. That was less time consuming.
Here are the gang members with their names, backgrounds and skills. All generated from the tables. Miniatures were chosen after the tables were rolled.
Valentinianus "Thinks statues were once living who have been cursed", Versatile
Vitus "Born in a olive grove", Rumor
Marcus "Is immune to a sting of 7 out of 10 scorpions", Confusing
Maxentius "Constantly hunted by a vengeful senator", Elusive
Aelianus "Has a face only a mother would love", Hideous
Felix "Lover of cheap Wine", Beloved
Fantastic sculpts and I really appreciate the effort that the authors had put in making all the extra tables in the back of the rulebook.
