Looking for figures for Dune.
« on: July 01, 2024, 10:46:57 AM »
I’m looking for figures to represent the 80s version of dune, the one with Sting in. I know there was a range based on them a few years ago, but I cannot find them.
Does anybody know if they are still available.

He had a bunch of them commissioned by Kev White and Ian Mountain back in 2013.

I bought some of the 'garrison' troops myself; they're really nice :)

However, it's not clear if they're still available anywhere or not; best to ask AKULA himself...

There was a range from Akula and another lot by BOF studios. Both are very hard to get.  I think I bought the last spares Akula had, I probably have some spare depending on what you are after.

You could do worse than kit-bash some Necromunda Van Sar troops... it's certainly a good place to start for the still suits etc...

The guy from BOF disappeared, very sad. He made this brilliant Dune-Range and a outstanding range called Ronin Hood (Japanese Robin Hoodlike Characters). But he is gone, no chance to find him. SteveW or sothing like this was his Nickname here...

Anvil have some print on demand figures.

There were Desert Nomads, though firing rifles.

I believe that was AndyW. He's last been active on the LAF in '22...

You can approximate them reasonably well with various figures of HAZMAT suits.  That's what they used back in that movie (and green light inside).

I like what Anvil has done both with their various HAZMAT suits and with their 2024 Dune guys.  I have a set and I really like them.

There was a splendid range in 20mm by MJ figures. I have been looking for them for a while. I should have bought deep when available.
I did buy a lot of their "Blade" range which were very cool.
