On another note I didn't 'get' Monty Python until about a year ago, so I can't be a reliable arbiter for taste  lol

Didn't get Monty Python?? Now, if you say you don't get the Princess Bridge, I am taking back all of my votes for you in the various Lead Painter Leagues...  lol lol

Seriously - great job! Always good to see your painting, Matt! Hope everything is going well with you...

Poor old Harry looks like he might have been replaced by an Auton though....

He does look a bit stiff  lol

Nah, we are good with Princess Bride. I find Monty Python quite funny now, I watched the series, Life of Brian, etc. I didn't know what I was missing I guess  lol

Great painting which makes even those older figures pop.
I have the version of Romana One in long dress..its my only survivor of the old range  from the 80's. Still a nice figure.
However the CD versions of the Doctor and Jo are stunning.
CD, dont allow your sculptor to eat or sleep until he's done everything on my long wants list. I keep watching every month when its New Release Time.

Like many, I enjoyed Dr Who as a kid, but it was on infrequently over here, and I never got to watch many episodes. This was the Baker era (I remember the scarf). Until Netflix streamed everything from the 9th Doctor onwards, about a decade or so ago, that is.

Then I watched all seasons, christmas specials etc as fast as I could, without straight up binging (although this may have happened every now and then ;) ). So my real exposure to the Dr Who universe started with Eccleston, and absolutely peaked with Tennant and Smith. The whole recurring River Song arc, oh man!  :o

Meaning I'm of the later generation of Whovians, but a massive fan all the same.

So anything Dr Who always has my interest. I've got my favourite Doctors stashed away, just like some of the companions and of course a Tardis, but for some reason, I never got to painting them; shame on me.

It always occurred to me that a painted Tardis would be at home as some cheeky bit of scenery on every 25/28/30/32mm table! And the doctor, with companions, would be a great disrupting factor in any battle, preferably controlled by a third party or GM ;)

Anyway; awesome paintjobs (as usual), and of course inspirational :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Completely unrelated,  but I am trying to assemble a Chronomancer crew for Frostgrave using Crooked Dice figures.

Thanks guys. Really the Tardis could show up in just about any setting. I have a time travel mix-up game planned with Time Bandits, Doc and Marty, Daleks, Yithians, Doctor Who, 40k Necrons, and whatever else I can work in lol

Your experience is really similar to mine :)

Sounds cool :)

I think it was Salute 2019 (might be earlier), there was a guy going around the various demo games asking if he could take photos of the tables being used. When given a 'yes', he promptly pulled out a Tardis and a Dr mini, placed them on the table and then took a picture - much to the amusement of those running the games.
