We had our first public display of our SWAT game at the Horisont con in Esbjerg.
Showing the game to the public gave us the needed motivation to get the house interior done, last floor the night before the event of course.
The objective was... well, clearing the building of bad guys and save the hostages, no big surprise there.
The only way to move from floor to floor was the lift or rapelling from the roof, so a groupleader turns to an alternate way of entering the building.
We recieve a bit of flak for having the lift as the only way to move freely between floors, but it gives some good moments in the game, though it is not really too realistic.
There are no set turns in the game, if the bad guys (Played by a GM) get line of sight to SWAT, the turn shifts, so entering a room is always a hazzle.
If SWAT declares they want to breach a room, we start to look at initiative, but at best it gives the SWAT guys time to squeeze of a few rounds before getting shot at.
At the end of the game, we calculated victorypoints, based on who died, how many bad guys were captured and how many that actually made it home for cake.
The seperate floors made it possible to run the game with 2 GMs, each tending to 2 floors, so we had some really fast games on an average of 75 minutes.
The downside for running the games with a tagteam of GMs was not having time of to play the other games at Horisont, but Tactica is just around the corner, so I'll get to play there
