Some WW1 Tanks - Mkiv & A7V
« on: June 08, 2024, 09:04:35 PM »
I've recently piked up a new lightbox so I thought I would take some pictures of my backlog of completed minis.
I have 2 Skytrex 28mm Tanks I picked up a while back from Northstar.
A MKIV male tank:

A lovely little kit. The rails were a bit of a pain to fit, but I'm really pleased with it.

Next up an A7V:

I wimped out a bit on the painting as originally i was going to camo it. I think the grey looks fine though.

Hope you like them.

Lovely painting and photography.

How many multiples of the number of A7Vs built in reality have been made in miniature, I wonder?
Back from the dead, almost.

I was just happy to see your name on the forum again (perhaps we hang out in deiiferent sections of LAF) as I knew that I would see some excellent painting. You did not disappoint! Fantastic tanks, especially the MkIV.  :-* :-*

Thank you for the comments, I really enjoyed building/painting these.

Thankyou, glad you like them. Hard to say really because they were base coated for ages. I would say I did both of them over a weekend with another evening to do the bases.

(Which lightbox have you gone for? )
I went for a "Duclus" photography lightbox off Amazon. It works really well but i'm still figuring out "white" settings on my camera.
