The bkack lining was done using a contrast paint called black Templar, it’s just the right consistency neither wash nor solid paint, then any mistakes were tidied up after with the base colors

You certainly nailed the paint, for both the subject matter and the effect that you were going for.  Very well done indeed.

Majorsmith , what did you use for gloss coat. I’ve tried several different varnishes both spray and brushed on and can’t seem to get it as shiny as you did.

I use miniature paints acrylic gloss varnish, trick is to thin it down and apply 2 -3 thin coats

Thanks for the reply. So there's no specific brand just proper technique. I'll have to be more patient ;D

No the brands called miniature paints, quite cheap but very good, i usually buy mine from coritani magnetic displays in the uk
