What I painted in July 2024
« on: July 10, 2024, 12:16:54 AM »
May as well start this monthly thread off!  ;D

Here is my final batch of zombies before I start playing games:

These are 3D prints designed by Kraken 3D Studios, printed by JS Wargamer Printing. The Land RoverI purchased from Diabolical Terrain.

These are "infected" style zombies from The Last of Us. I will be using them for bloated or particularly nasty zombies. I tried to do a MAGA hat on the one, but the hat was so tiny I just couldn't pull it off... lol

These are ones I'm going to use as "Runners" or Fast Zombies (according to the rules I end up playing with). I even did the bases for these and the bloated different than the run-of-the-mail zomboloids... :D

The standard infected zombies with the typical flocking I have been doing for zombies. I really liked some of these poses. Now, I have enough for a game of either Zombie RV (https://www.wargamevault.com/product/481744/Zombie-RV?filters=0_0_0_44510_0) or County Road Z (https://modiphius.net/en-us/products/county-road-z-core-rulebook). Which will I play first...??  lol

Great stuff there Mike, and thanks for starting the thread.  Here’s my Frostgrave Gnolls done up for the Gnawlings threat in Five Leagues from the Borderlands.

Thanks again for starting the thread up for this month.

Trying to finish a long dormant Robin Hood project. Bought these Normans at Salute 2023!
Always been apprehensive about painting horses, however Contrast Paints and Speed Paints made it easier than I expected.

Will flock the bases once I've got the other 12 painted!

That's a good looking bug.  Any idea where it came from, or who made it (or what it eats?)?

I think (and I can't prove it) that it comes from the old Mars Attacks games by Mantic. Happy to be corrected though.

It is the most valuable player character for the Locust city chiefs (Z’zor) dreadball team (by Mantic indeed).

It's Mantic Monster Month - cheap as chips

5 Nightstalker Reapers - these are a bit of a pain to put together but are very good miniatures which will do very well in Sci Fi, Fantasy and Horror settings.  Can have all blades or claws and blades.  Scarier than Genestealers

A Ghoul

and a Gargoyle (that I think I will repaint as its very muddy - like my teachers used to say "could do better"

No dear, they are not toys, they are models

Thanks for confirming. Never played Dreadball, so no idea where it came from.

Picked up "The Other Seven" boxset from my local wargaming store. Produced by Great Escape Games, this boxset reproduces the characters from the 2016 remake of "The Magnificent Seven".
