Dark Ages Gallery
« on: July 17, 2024, 04:28:56 PM »
Let's start a dark Ages gallery where I'll show my vikings, priests and forthcoming saxons, normans and picts...
I painted some Gripping Beast vikings a few years back (at that time they were no Victrix...). I have no good pictures of them, only "in action" ones.

Here are the last ones I painted. two unknowkn vikings already painted by their previous owner I just put my own scheme color on them and some Dark tone. The chief is from Hasslefree miniatures, figuring Ragnar from the Viking TV show. Rally nice mini. Simple paint job with a bit of contrast paints (the black and the skin) and base + shade and lining.

Those lucky minis had the chance to see the battlefield already. Here are some pictures. You can see more on this article.

Beautiful work! I especially like the pic of Ragnar in the church. I don’t fancy the odds of the clergy, Ragnar looks quite confident!

Thanks a lot ! To be honest the church and the burning house aren't mine. They have been printed and painted by my friend Anatoly.

Superb!  :)

I also like that stones have different colours and shades.

That's a lovely board and figures, very nice!

Among many, many other things I'm planning, I'm also looking for a mat to game at home, could you tell me what's the one you have here? It looks really good.
