Can't you just deliver via rocket? lol o_o

As of this morning, Canadian posties are back on the job!  Of course, their first order of business is for them to clear out a month's backlog of mail - gotta make sure that all those Home Hardware fliers are delivered.  Canada Post is warning of delays in service until at least the end of Jan 2025.  Note that none of the underlying labour issues have been addressed, so there may be job action again before too long.

But I'm ok, I got my Pulp Spacers last week :D  Thanks Bob!

Lucky blighter, I’m waiting for 3 packages that were sent in early November (none from Pulp Figures) that are caught in the backlog. Great job on the spacers, I like the colourful space suits!

Thanks, Pattus!  My theory on the spacesuits is the brighter the better.  A spacer doing any sort of EVA (extra-vehicular activity) is going to be at great risk of getting lost in the blackness of space.  Anything that helps them to be seen is going to be embraced.  Also, since helmets will obsure their faces, they will want their suits to be as distinct as possible to help show whose who.

Those assumptions about space suits make sense to me. Could do something similar on a mostly-white spacesuit by having colour coded cuffs or shoulder patches, or both, so see at a glance who’s wearing it.

I’ve just been reading the novels that were turned into “the Expanse” and some details like using hand movements instead of shrugging, nodding, or shaking your head to communicate non-verbal cues while in a space suit add fun details to the setting. I can picture habits like that developing over time.

I'll probably have a few white-based spacesuits eventually - for now I am indulging myself with more varied colours ;)

I've been inspired by 'The Expanse' series as well.  So far I've read a few of the books, haven't chased down the TV series yet.  Right now am re-watching Andor and getting revolutionary ideas...

At the risk of derailing Bob’s thread, I highly encourage the TV version of the Expanse. I put it easily in my Top 10 series list!

The spacesuits look GREAT!!! :-* And thanks for the update about Canada Post! (Runs excitedly to the mailbox.)

The postal strike is over and I’m getting the pre-orders away. The post office has a backlog from the month off but things seem to be moving again.

Cracked the set open this morning, having seen the figures in the flesh they've jumped straight to the front of the queue - magnificent sculpts and the usual fantastic quality casting from Northstar :D

Got my figures a couple days ago here in Northern New York!  Also scored a big! 16" tall maybe, plastic toy rocket ship. A bit of repair needed and of course painting, but for free it should serve. Trying to decide how it should be painted. Cliche silver, or in colors?

My Pulp goodness came in the mail last Friday, and I spent the weekend doing very minor cleanup in preparation for base-coating.  Good gravy these figures look amazing; they are definitely living up to all of my hopes and expectations.  Bob has knocked it out of the park!
