This has slipped under the radar, and I only just saw a mention of this here on the LAF, but Crisis Antwerp has been resurrected after years of hybernation!
Ever since Covid restrictions and Brexit pretty much killed the largest continental convention, we've been lamenting the loss of this wonderful event.
Last year, Tin Soldiers of Antwerp organized a bring and buy at their club's location, and while it was great to browse through some miniatures and associated stuffs again, it was not the same, obviously.
But the experience must have roused some of their club members into action once again, because this year, Crisis will be back! Granted, in a much reduced form, but it looks to be along the same lines as those great shows of the past. New venue too, to match the smaller format.
I will certainly be going, if only to see this miraculous resurrection for myself, and to support the club in their efforts. Here's to hoping they will be able to make the event grow to its pre-pandemic proportions again in the coming years!
So mark your calendars: September 7th, at ''t Bau-huis', Slachthuisstraat 60, 9100 Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. Hope to see as many LAF-ers as possible there
