Hi all,
I've been lurking/dropping in to check out threads, and taking inspiration from this forum for some time, and finally started making stuff I thought would be fun to share, so here I am!
First off a big thanks to the people behind this forum and all of you contributors, I've gotten a lot from reading through threads over the years.
I've been in the hobby off and on since the early 90's. WFB 4th edition was the first game we got, though friends, family, and I were painting random miniatures and toy soldiers for a while before that. My Dad used to cast some Prince August toy soldiers out of lead in our basement, and we would build model plane kits together, so I think those were probably the seeds of this crazy hobby journey.
Anyway, nowadays I primarily do fantasy miniatures and games (though I have an idea to get back into sci-fi if my gaming group wants a change of pace after the current campaign). At this point things are mostly home-brewed, though I've taken a lot of inspiration (or stolen liberally, depending upon your point of view) from Warhammer Fantasy, WHQ, Mordheim, Frostgrave, Rangers of Shadow Deep, 40k 2nd edition, Necromunda 1st edition, and a smattering of roleplaying adventures and rules.
Looking forward to getting more involved on the forum as time permits (I have kids, so time is precious), and cheering on all of the inspiring work here!
