The battle of Oosterweel - 1567 scenario as used at CRISIS 2024
« on: September 10, 2024, 10:55:59 AM »
At CRISIS 2024, we used a simple scenario for the demo and participation of the Der Söldner rules: the Battle of Oosterweel in 1567, which took place near Antwerp. You can find the PDF with the briefing and details via the following link: https://tabletopmatrixwargames689972109.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/oosterweel-1567.pdf

What makes this scenario unique and very suitable for Der Söldner is that, on one hand, it is a fairly straightforward attack on a camp, while on the other hand, it allows for very interesting and exciting storylines to be developed.

I’m intrigued by the idea of Arguing When… but I really have no idea how a game plays out.

There seem to be the high level concepts of arguments, and then the micro level of recording minutes. Is there a good walk through of a few turns anywhere?

I have noted that many have found Pijlie’s blog on Der Söldner helpful. You van find it at: http://pijlieblog.blogspot.com/2024/05/arguing-when-money-talks-der-soldner.html
