“There” she exclaimed as his claw crossed into the forest. He halted, the sudden movement tearing the map. The Felid’s eyes narrowed in anticipation. “Last night, I talked to some caravan guards. They claim to have seen gnawlings battling mercenaries loyal to the Wolf Prince.”

“It’s not a problem,” the Felid bared his fangs in an approximation of a human grin. “It’s an opportunity.”

Paths in the Wilderness is a major new expansion that provides you with an array of different options for your Five Leagues from the Borderlands games. Where the first expansion (The Ancient Land of Dust) was aimed at one type of adventure in a specific region of the world, this expansion is all about the adventure you want to create, brimming with options for almost every aspect of the game system, whether it is characters to create, activities to perform, creatures to fight (or recruit), or new ways to use the game rules.

All the material contained within is optional, you might want to use some of these rules for one campaign, and different rules for another. Pick and choose however you want to play!
