The Action Fleet models vary in scale, however - some are about right and some are way off. There is a site which lists the actual scale by measuring the model and comparing it to the published dimensions, I'll see if I can find it.
www.rebelscale.com

That's a really cool reference site for model lengths.  Thanks for sharing.

I'm a little confused about the the scale lists though

https://www.rebelscale.com/scale-lists/action-fleet/

I assume the scale lists are 1/x (X being the listed number) but alot of the scales just look off.   Luke's landspeeder is nowhere near 1/30 and the Tie Advanced is far smaller than 1/52.

Well one good thing about that list is that they provide both the measured length of the model and the published length of the canon design so you can check the scale for yourself. I have to admit I have done that where I thought their scale was off but, after I'd checked the length in several canon sources, the scale was spot on. If you feel there's a discrepancy, check the lengths given in as many canon sources as you can find (sometimes they differ a little) and work it out for yourself - you might be surprised.
Oh and don't be fooled by the size of the figures supplied with the models - fleet action figures are all one size, no matter the scale of the model, hence I've got a B wing fighter with a massively oversized seat and pilot figure and Lukes landspeeder has a massively undersized seat and figure. There was no attempt made to match the scales or the right sized figures to the model, they were intended as kids toys.

I'm skeptical.   Either the published dimensions are fantastical or the math is off.

Using the two I noted before, A 1/32 figure could ride the Action Fleet Luke's land speeder like a surf board and 1/52 figure couldn't even fit in the cockpit of the Tie X1.

The length measurements are extremely helpful, but I'd advise anyone to take the scale measurements with a grain of salt.

don't know if it's of any relevance, but I was looking at doing Star Wars at Fleet scale back in the day and compiled a list of scales at the time:

Got some ground vehicle measurements for you.

Micro Galaxy Squadron

Imperial Troop Transport 6" long
AT-TE 8" Hull length

Micro Machines "Action Fleet"

Snowspeeder 4" not including gun barrel.
At-AT 4.5" tall
Escape Pod 4" Tall
Dewback 3.75" nose to tail.
Dune Sea Skiff 4.5" long
Bespin Cloud Car 3.5 " long

Let me know if you need any spacecraft measurement.

Somewhere I have both kinds of Tattoine land speeders.  If I find them I'll measure them as well.

Hey Eilif thank you for those measurements most appreciated! I'm keen on getting an escape pod and there are some troop transports on sale at the moment so I should really pick up one of those too.

I've been caught out with scales for action fleet before. I think it's a bit hit or miss. Speeder bikes and landspeeders especially

nice work giraffe that's a useful scale resource.  I wonder if the rebel scale guy would be interested in it?

I've used some of the action fleet vehicles with my WEG 25mm star wars and they work, so some might be a bit big for you, but not by enough for most things I'd have thought.

Yeah action fleet have some good vehicles and there's not much in it that's true. I've also got an FDM printer and plan to print some scatter terrain vehicles.

As a wider issue, many times compressing the scale of vehicles compared to miniatures can be a good thing.

I haven't found anything in the action fleet line that scales will with 28mm.  However, the Lars family speeder (black, closed speeder) and the Cloud cars have worked well as  terrain pieces for interior spaces.

All this to say that there are many times when you want your vehicles to be underscale, especially when they're used as scenery.

agreed Eilif close enough is good enough especially for scatter. I am trying to either print, kitbash or buy inexpensive SW toys for scatter terrain and save my $$ for minis and printing.  My buildings are all scratched built or made from trash or repurposed from other scales.  I enjoy this aspect of the hobby as well as obsessing over scale and trying to find things that match lol.

In that case, you're definitely on the right track with Action fleet and Micro Galaxy Squadron.   One additional neat thing is that as Micro Galaxy Squadron has been releasing more and better vehicles, the price of Action Fleet has been going down on ebay and at used toy shops.  Especially for unboxed vehicles without figures and those that are missing parts.

If you're in the USA, send me a PM.  I may have a couple extras I can let go for small money.

Oh that's good to know I haven't been following the MGS releases. So a drop in AF loose ships would be great and an easy way to make a table look star warsy.  Prices on AF are still prohibitive where I am but hopefully they will come down.

I'm getting some imperial army troopers printed to a height of about 23mm or so an MGS transport will be useful and I've printed a couple of Tx130's and some at pts to give the imperials some armour.  For the rebs I'll probably do something similar then look to proxies for extra figures. I like the idea of larger battles in SW; imperial army vs rebel commandoes and local insurgents something like that.  No idea what to use for rules yet.

If you can find them, the SC2m Saber fighter tank from the Imperial Assault expansion 'Return to Hoth' might be good as well. The model itself is too small to be the same scale as 28mm figures and, with a roof and hatch over the pilot seat, would make a good tank for either side - it was a Republic tank and has been used by both the Empire and Rebels, according to the fluff.

Oh nice one Rick thanks I didn't know about that one I definitely check it out. My take on armour for rebels would be they use clone wars era tanks etc, repurposed civilian vehicles, stolen imperial armour etc that would work well.
