During the second year of the Jade Dragon Uprising, the cult leader - The Black Lotus - returned from the forested highlands with a new army.

Known as the Army of the Dead, due to their black uniforms and ancient armour and weapons, the army she raised was equipped with items from the lost tomb of the Sung ruler, Emperor Ming Sung. Having loctaed the tomb with the help of Baron Von Xande, the infamous Austrian treasure hunter (who gave her rifles and a cannon in return for the pick of the real treasure from the tomb), she stole the weapons and armour from the sealed crypt and led forth a new army, convincing the locals that the dead armies of the ancient rulers had returned to fight the foreign devils!

Well they will be...

Arms removed, head repositioned and arms from the Victrix French. They will then get new sleeves for their robes from Green Stuff.

The eight musket armed soldiers with the arms added...

Next job will be to carve down the plastic arms into the shape I want, and then use them as an armature for the sleeves. Im hoping plain robes will be ok to do!

First four right arms and cartridge pouches done...

Excellent. I love the Tingtong project

I assume your musketeer arms are spares from plastic Napoleonic figures?

Using them to "modernise" ancients is a great idea and one that can be used in other colonial/VSF etc projetcs.

Well done on the gun crew, big fan of that kind of work.

Look forward to seeing them in action, not sure if they'll be able to stand the lead of the foriegn devils though!
