Old Citadel GW Dark Elves refubished
« on: December 18, 2024, 12:16:20 PM »
I am continuing the refurbishment and rebasing of the old leftovers from the kids' Warhammer games.  I have kept as close as possible to the paint scheme used by them in the 1980s-90s. It helps that Coat d'Arms paints match the old Citadel colours as they were the original supplier.

The ones in the second picture look familiar - Mengals Manhides from Regiments of Renown (I think?)

What rules are you thinking of using them with?

Those old dark elves are some of my favourite Citadel miniatures. It's lovely to see them.

The dark elves/drow that overlapped with the TSR license are my favourite, good job dragging them into the 2020’s.

I use or club's home grown set of fantasy rules they sort of grew over the 40 odd years as our games grew from dungeon crawls to full scale wars in a continent of our own called Morval Earth.

Nice job!  Very inspirational.  I have a ton of those, unpainted, I need to dig out.

Cool. :) I've always had a soft spot for these early Dark Elves, simply because how different they are to the later iterations. I got the hard plastic blister box of Menghil Manhide's Manflayers, but haven't had the heart to open it. Got a whole lot of the Marauder Witch Elves though, because they rock. :)
