I was very pleasantly surprised at the banditti pack on arrival having a cool female bandit!  Nice!

More females, and regency garbed civilians please!

Cheers! Not noticed those before. Not quite what I want but one or two useful figures among 'em.

Yes, there are a few useful figures in the Perry offerings, and lots of innocent bystanders just standing around waiting to be monster chow.  But we really need much more in the way of armed and active civilians to join the adventuring squads.

The Empress Maori War figures are nominally a bit later in terms of style but could be made to work for an earlier period, as could a few of the Boothill miniatures (now via Brigade) . Personally I'm look to go the other way and utilise earlier figures for a later period (1830s).

Eureka have a range of French revolutionaries with open hands and the option of a range of weapons that would fit the 1800-15 period. Some are in mob caps, so look specifically French but there are quite a few that are bare headed or in hats.

I echo this, the Perry and Front Rank are nice enough and certainly have their uses but they don’t quite look like they are terribly worried or excited about much…something that won’t really fit well on a table for when confronting by revenants.  There would be a few individual figs out each pack but a lot of not so nice figs to have to buy to get them.

The Māori figs are nice but again, not as many as i would like.  I do want to get some.

Trent has nice Vendean, Haitian and Irish revolt figs… with a few nice females too.

Ah, but British civilians are made of stouter stuff and are far more composed and laconic in their approach to danger, having lived in a dystopian hellscape for much of their lives.

They pine not for more firearms like the cousins. A stout stick, cane or handy sporting implement will suffice. Panic stricken Americans are another thing entirely. Their exposure to a life in a dystopian hellscape seems not to have left any positive mark. :D

Should their be any more British figures forthcoming it woud be nice to see a Mary Bateman figure. Mary was the so-called Yorkshire Witch but this time with genuine occult powers rather than just a taste for seasoning food in an unusual manner, not conducive to continued respiration. ;)

Was just looking at Piano Minis’ Tyrol revolt civilians.  Very nice and dynamic, but only Tyrols with distinct costume.  The Landstuerm  and farmers in particular would look well chasing down a re-animated body who just threw a child into the pond and retreated to the Baron’s castle.

Eureka do a Tyrolean range as well. Plenty of angry lederhosen wearers wielding agricultural implements as well as shoory sticks.

There's a really useful figure of a woman loading a musket which would fit in with a wide variety of nationalities,

Indeed hit or miss…those sculpts look like the molds are quite worn out.

Black Pyramid have some nice figs but they are OOP for many.  Others look kind of rough like the migs

Check out Goonhammer's Silver Bayonet review here: https://www.goonhammer.com/goonhammer-historicals-the-silver-bayonet-italy-review/

Still waiting for my FLGS to get the book in, so that review was quite handy with the new character stats.  Great to see Light Infantry and Voltigeurs added at long last.  But gah, re-juggling unit maths, the horror, the horror.

I had built my Neapolitan (Murat's) with the basic soldiers as Voltigeurs.  Made sense at the time that the troops trained for loose order work would be best suited to these sorts of missions.  Need to add some regular center company infantry now too, and then figure how the heck to work 18-point Voltigeurs in.  The scattershot points values make juggling 100 points worth of 7 figures tricksy enough the first time, re-juggling is even harder.

I wouldn’t sweat it. If you have too many points, toss in another monster or two at some point in the battle and it will all balance out.
