Mixing Perry ECW and Assault Group TYW figures
« on: October 25, 2024, 01:37:02 PM »
Sorry to ask this question, because I guess it has been covered before.

Can we mix Perry Miniatures ECW figures, with Assault Group TYW figures, without it being too much of a difference.

Thanks in advance.  :)

Yes - a lot of the TAG figures are pretty small, and match well with the Perry guys

Thank you very much for your response, it is especially the TAG command blisters that I wish to mix with the Perry commands.

This might help (if you can see past the photo bucket watermarks)

Thank you for your message, I had seen it but it was not very practical to look at with the inscriptions on the photo.

I‘m happy to mix Warlord, TAG and Perry, with the majority being Warlord plastics. IMHO they are close enough to mix characters and command figures into units as well as using command stands for generals.

Thank you very much Warboss Nick for your feedback on the different Warlord, TAG and Perry figures. I have already mixed the Warlord and Perry and I have made a TAG order that I am waiting for.  ;)

I do the same. Old Glory Wargames Foundry is also in a similar size. Even if Bicorne and Bloody Miniatures are bigger I mix them as well. We are lucky to have such a fantastic selection of miniatures for this period  :)

I haven't managed to mix them like you do with different brands of figurines yet. I try to take figurines that are roughly the same height.
Maybe one day I could manage to mix them .....  ;)

I tend to mix different brands of figures in cavalry units but not so much in infantry units. I try to mount every rider in the same unit on a horse of one brand. I think this helps to bring the unit together. Sometimes, I've put officers on horses of a different brand to show that officers would generally have had better horses.

Following your feedback, I asked a friend who has 1898 Miniaturas figurines to lend me some to compare them to my Perrys. So I put them together and at first glance it doesn't clash too much. I'll see about getting these.
Otherwise I'm still waiting for my order from TAG to also make a comparison, I have to be patient.  ;)
