If by "interesting" you mean "stupid" then I am in full agreement.  :)

Why? They are clearly inspired in manga designs (believable or not, as most manganime things) like those in "Venus Wars" and are really nice looking.

I'm thinking in aestetics, not in verosimility

Don't get me wrong, the sculpts are really nice, it's just that unicycle. It's so ridiculous. It stretches "suspension of disbelief" just a little too far for me.

What possible reason would one have to employ such an impractical machine in a combat role?

Beyond that, the design isn't all that flash. It looks like a motorbike that the back wheel has fallen off, rather than a unicycle. Sorry, it is just too silly for me.

On the other hand, I have no problem with the VSF game where lancers ride around on Penny Farthings and Unicycles, to skewer a steam-driven mechanical pig, so perhaps I'm exercising my right to be a hypocrite here!  :)

But as I said, the actual figures themselves look really slick. I like them, apart from the one-wheeler.

I was about to use that example in my answer!

I don't think the unicycle is all that bad. We can build Segways even today, so I can definitely imagine there being good enough self-balancing systems for one-wheeled motorbikes in the near future. The vehicle might lose out a bit on torque (or grip, or whatever it is) compared to a normal 2-wheeler, though. Ultimately, I guess one needs to like manga/anime style designs to like this miniature.

I also see potential for clipping off the wheel and turning it into a jetbike. I like this; I've been considering making a cyberpunk jetbike racing game (in fact, I'm already making some preparations for it).

On the other hand, I'm not overly fond of that fly mutant ("Help me! Help meeee!"   )

I agree the unicycle isn't that bad, but i would chop the wheel of and either turn it in to a jetbike or move it forward and add a back wheel then you would have a cool looking motorbike. I think the rider looks great so i might just have to let the moths out of the wallet again, just don't let the missus see  :)

Cheers Ian
